Stéphanie Pontet
Care to Rewear was born from a life lived at the intersection of community, care, and circularity. As a young volunteer in Paris, Stéphanie worked with organisations supporting people experiencing homelessness, an experience that planted a deep belief that sustainability must have a human heart.
Years later, as a Circular Economy Officer in Perth with a background in law and water management, she began building initiatives that push sustainability beyond the environmental and into the genuinely social from the pedal-powered Mending Machine to a world record mending attempt coordinated across 15 Perth councils.
Stéphanie is multilingual (English, French, Italian), and has delivered over 100 clothes swaps, developed curriculum-aligned textile education programs for schools across WA, and facilitated sustainability education for councils, corporates, schools, and CALD communities.
